Costa Brava International Fireworks Competition | Blanes

From July 22 to 26, the 47th International Fireworks Competition of the Costa Brava, also called Els Focs de Blanes, is held in the city of Blanes.

They take place within the greater celebration of Santa Ana and San Joaquín, where the greater international fireworks contest of all Europe is celebrated. More than 500.000 people visit this great show to enjoy a few nights of fire. It is one of the most exciting and original proposals offered by the Costa Brava.

The rockets are launched from Sa Palomera, a large rock that separates the two beaches of the town of Blanes, every day at 10:30 p.m. For this, the public is concentrated on the seafront, looking for a place in the arena from where to contemplate this great show.

The pyrotechnic tradition of Blanes comes from far away. Since 1891 fireworks have already been documented in the town. This spectacular contest began in 1970. Today it is considered one of the most prestigious fireworks contests in the world. National and international pyrotechnic companies compete to win the Vila de Blanes Trophy.

It is an excellent opportunity to get to know our Hotel Beverly Park & Spa and to be able to enjoy this wonderful fire show.
