A few kilometres from Blanes you will find other points of interest that you will be able to discover during your stay in our city. Catalonia is a fascinating country, with interesting and very picturesque places. They are nearby destinations that can complement your stay in the city of Blanes.

Lloret de Mar: Neighbouring municipality of Blanes with large beaches and a very varied cultural proposal. It offers a wide range of leisure activities.

Tossa de Mar: An old fishing village with a great historical background. In Tossa, the “Vila Vella” stands out, the only example of a fortified medieval town that still exists on the Catalan coast.

Girona: Capital of the province, with a historic centre considered one of the most evocative in Europe, and with a great Jewish legacy. You can do part of the “Camí de Ronda” by the old walls, and do not miss the cathedral and the colorful “Cases de l’Onyar”.

Barcelona: Capital of Catalonia, with a long and rich architectural history. It is one of the world’s most popular destinations for modernism, with buildings and public spaces as unique as “La Sagrada Família”, “Parc Güell”, “Casa Milà” or “Casa Batlló”.

Tordera: Book a Sunday morning to visit the market in this small neighbouring village of Blanes.

Estany de Sils: Visit this protected natural area, a wet area of great scenic interest and unique within the Mediterranean environments. In this place there is a great variety of flora and fauna specific to this habitat.

Montseny: The Montseny Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Natural Reserve, will allow you to enjoy nature and extraordinary forest landscapes.

La Selva: Our region has many contrasting landscapes. It extends from the “Costa Brava” to the abrupt “Guilleries”, with a great interior plain and a lot of variety in its natural environment.

Empordà: Land of “tramuntana”, vineyards and great artists. A singular landscape awaits you, with a long coastline and an endless plain, with indelible brushstrokes that are world-renowned, such as those of Salvador Dalí’s surrealism.

Garrotxa: Pre-Pyrenean area, with very mountainous reliefs and extraordinary landscapes such as “La Fageda d’en Jordà”, in an extensive volcanic area of great geological and natural interest.

Hostalric: Declared an Asset of National Interest, it has an important medieval legacy and also allows you to discover the Catalan gastronomic heritage in the Domus Sent Soví centre.

Montsoriu: It is the most remarkable Catalan Gothic castle from a historical, architectural and archaeological point of view. It can be visited all year round.

Caldes de Malavella: La Selva is a land of thermal waters, and in Caldes de Malavella you will find everything about thermalism: spas, Roman thermal baths, hot springs, etc.

Breda: We recommend a walk through the streets of this pottery village, with the monastery of “Sant Salvador” as the protagonist, and thus you can capture the history of clay and ceramics.
